Sweet and Simple Sunbeam Coffee Maker

by Maryann
(Houstan, TX)

The last coffee maker I bought was a Black and Decker, which I thought was an excellent name brand. It had all the bells and whistles you could ask for.

It looked like it might be at home on the control panel of a rocket ship. It also leaked all over my counter and I had to return it.

The one I currently own is a Sunbeam, and very basic. The extent of the gadgetry on this one is a simple on/off button, which suits my needs.

I don't have a set time to get up in the mornings, so I don't need a pre-set timer. Also, I have plenty of clocks in my house, so I don't need one on my coffee maker.

I'm not overly picky about the freshness of my cup of Joe; I just buy my coffee pre-ground, so I have no need of a built-in grinder.

I was specifically looking for a black coffee maker, and it was surprisingly hard to find one that was simply black.

The Sunbeam I chose is very basic, but it makes excellent coffee, and I don't mind waiting for the coffee to make when I get up.

I have a healthy glass of juice while I wait. For me, basic is better.
