Smart Black And Decker Coffee Maker

My coffee maker is by Black and Decker. It has the feature where you can be set up ahead of time so that the coffee will be ready when you wake up.

I bought this particular coffee maker for three reasons.

First, I wanted to be able to set it up the night before and have my coffee ready in the morning in order to save time while getting ready for work.

Second, I wanted a coffee maker that would stop dripping if I removed the pot from the bottom plate. In that way, I could fill my coffee cup even if the coffee had not completely finished dripping into the pot.

Third, I wanted a coffee maker that would automatically shut off after an hour or so.The B & D coffee maker had all these features.

My previous coffee maker by Mr. Coffee did not have any of these features. So for those reasons, I really like this coffee maker.

However, the coffee that was ready in the morning really did not taste very good.I don't know if it was because the water sat in the compartment all night or what, but I stopped using that feature early on. I was a little leery of water sitting for that length of time.

I continued to like the other two features that I mentioned above and was generally happy with this coffee maker.

However, about a month ago, it stopped working altogether. There was nothing I could do to fix it.It seems to have just died. I had had it for about 1 1/2 years and really others I have had lasted until I replaced them, they never just stopped working.

I would definitely buy another coffee with the automatic shut-off and stop-drip features but I don't know if I would buy a Black and Decker coffee maker again. I think price would be a determining factor rather than brand.
