Smack Your Keurig Coffee Maker

by Denise
(Pennsylvania)

I have a problem with my Keurig not pumping the water into the cup. It says "ready to brew" but it just sits there and hums.

Sometimes it will pump half the water back into the reservoir. I called Keurig and they ran me through a bunch of troubleshooting ideas, including the descaling.

It worked great for about 5 minutes. Anyway, I found that if you give it a smack on top when it's humming it will immediately brew.

Unfortunately Keurig doesn't seem to have an answer so go ahead and give it a smack!

Mine does the same sometimes. I usually shut it off, restart and generally it works then. You have to make sure to have an empty cup on hand because it will dispense more coffee if you use the medium setting. PS. I live at about 5000ft. altitude
