Slow And Bulky Caffe Firenze by DeLonghi

by Steph
(Oxon,UK )

My Coffee makers Ground me down! My current coffee maker is a Caffe Firenze made by DeLonghi. I bought it about 6years ago for my husband as he loves his proper coffee and i thought as it did two cups of cappuccino it would be perfect for us. Unfortunately it hasn't been used very much. It is slow and seems to take an eternity of filling, measuring and moving a slider bar to perfect levels in order to get even a half decent cup - or half cup of coffee. The cappuccinos are luke warm by the time they have trickled into the cups and leave our cups only half full. Not like the huge cups you get in the local coffee shops.

Another big problem is that it is not very sleek or attractive to look at. It is bulky and takes up a lot of space on the work surface. Every time I have to use the coffee maker I have to get the instructions out and follow them. Perhaps this is my own weakness as I don't use it very often.

The good thing about it is that it doen't have many components to clean afterwards and doesn't seem to take an eternity of waiting for your beverage! Maybe this is why it is only warm on arrival. The cappuccino is fairly frothy and creamy so no real complaints if you like them regular not grande and only warm.
