Red 12 cup Mr Coffee Coffee Pot.

by Steve
(Pennsylvania in the USA)

We own a red 12 cup Mr Coffee, coffee pot. My goal is to eventually own all red appliances. I started with a red microwave that didn't match anything. If anyone comes in the kitchen for the first time, they comment on the red appliances. About 6 months ago, my wife was washing the old coffee pot and broke the carafe. Unfortunately the caraffe's cost as much as a new coffee pot. So we treated ourselves to a new appliance. I guess that's planned by the coffeemakers or any other manufacturer. We are very cheap and don't buy anything unless something breaks. This model was cheap but still makes a good cup of coffee. We are very pleased with this Mr Coffee pot. I'm glad I was daring with the red color choice.

I like the fact that it comes with a silk basket and I don't have to buy those stupid coffee filters anymore. Like anyone else I hate the junk drawer where we used to keep the filters. The less time spent in the junk drawer the better. It may be psychological but anytime something is new it seems like it produces better food. In any case, the coffee does taste better now.

The old coffee pot was a white 12 cup Mr Coffee pot. It showed yellow stains from years of wear. I tried to bleach it clean with Clorox but the stains were more stubborn than I am. Maybe that old coffee pot was bitter, tired and worn out just like me.
