Pissed Off with thermal kaffe Coffee Maker

I purchased this thermal kaffe for $7.99. Luved the color midnight blue, however it broke while coffe was in it. Not like it was that hot!!! I poured some coffee and drank it. When I left a desk to go to my desk in the office I heard a rattling sound. Open and the inside glass container was broke. I was scarded to death I may have swallowed some glass. Why did it break?
