Phillips Economic Coffee Maker

by Tanya
(Canada)

I have a coffee maker which is made by Phillips. I bought the coffee maker four years ago and it cost around $60.00. The color is a dark brown.

You have to buy the filter which you put in the one compartment and add one teaspoon of coffee beans to one cup. Fill the machine with cold water and switch on, wait for the coffee maker to percolate the coffee which takes about 20 minutes.

The reason i bought this particular brand was that it was in the sale and had some money knocked off. It holds up to 10 cups of coffee. I have never had any problems and the coffee maker has always worked well. This is the only coffee maker i have bought. The aroma of fresh percolated coffee is lovely it fills the house.

The taste of percolated coffee is lovely. I do find that a coffee maker is not a very economical machine, they are something you use occasionally. You do have to keep the coffee machine on to keep the coffee warm in the coffee pot. Also the coffee only lasts for about an hour because the flavor of the coffee tends to go bitter and to strong if kept to long.

I find coffee makers are alright for using maybe three to four times a week. Percolated coffee can be stronger than instant so if a person does not like strong coffee this can be a drawback.
