We bought an Oster Coffee Maker in October of 2008. Which is only about 5 months ago. It has worked great except for about 3 of those 5 months.

Now the coffee pot leaks down the sides from underneath the top rim. It's like the liquid forms under the rim when you are pouring and then when you set it up right it runs down the outside of the pot. Very annoying and disappointing. They sure don't make coffee makers like they used to and now they are so expensive and only last a fews months to a year.

Before we had a Philips coffee maker and it worked for 20 years. In the last 6 years we have gone through 5 different coffee makers. Very disappointed. Thanks for your time and concern.

I purchased a Oster coffee maker about 3 yrs ago and 3 days before the 3 month in store warrenty was up the timer went off to signal to me it was shutting off. A few hours later I went to make coffee and it was cooking hot and readt to explode. I made a pot of coffee after that and waited for the timer to go off and checked it an hour later NO LIGHT ON BUT BURNING HOT. When I took it back to the store they said they never heard of the oster doing that and replaced it with a kitchen aid as I was too worried about house fire and it lasted a year. I tryed the oster again as I preffer to set the temp and got tired if it leaking all over my counter and gave it to my daughter and it lasted another month then wouldn't brew after that so it lasted about a year. WELL HERE IS THE TOPPER I purchased another oster (3309-33) in july 2009 it decided not to shut off either. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL
I lifted up the lid hours after it shut off and steam just spit in my face!!!!!!!!!!

repeated problems with coffee maker.

I have had this problem on and off for three years. The Oster coffee maker just wont brew. The power is there but one cannot set anything as nothing happens the timer does not work and no indicator lights come on.
The company sent me two replacements and today the same thing happened. Worked fine in the morning and tried to make coffee this afternoon and one cannot set it to brew.
I think it is time for a new brand.

Oster 3309-33 replaced by a BVSTCJ

We purchased an Oster 3309-33 december 8 of 2008 and it simply stopped working on november 1 of this year 2009.

We took it for warrantee repair and one month later they gave us back a basic model BVSTCJ coffee maker worth about $60.00 in replacement of our $99.00 3309-33 warranteed maker. Apparently an equivalent product or so they say, but missing the plate temperature control and the on/off switch for the audible signal.

Last time we purchase any Oster products.

We purchased the above model Oster coffee maker in December of 2007. To date it has worked fine, but now it appears to be constantly on. The burner heats up and if you fill the reservior with water it goes through the brew cycle without even being turned on. Not only is this annoying, but it is also a fire hazard.

Has anyone else experienced the same problems?

We have two Oster Model 3309-33 and prefer this coffee maker to others we have had. We have had absolutely no problems.

Oster Coffee Maker 3307-33

We purchased one of these coffee makers in late June of this year (09). By July it suddenly stopped drawing the water to make the coffee - so we returned it to the store we purchased at and received a new one.

Almost exactly the same time (1 month) went by and now the new one has done the same thing. We are returning it and that's the end of coffee makers for us.

This coffee maker was replacing a Cuisinart thermos style Grind & Brew DGB-600BCC maker that we fought with for over 6 years - it had the annoying habit of flooding our kitchen counter and friends who have the same one have the same problem, so it was not just this one machine.

Does nobody make a good coffee maker any more?

What model of Oster Coffee Maker are you referring too, as there are many models. I just brought a 3309-33 model, and I hope I don't have the trouble you describe?
