My $15 Proctor Silex Coffee Maker

I own a Proctor Silex coffee maker. I went to K-mart just looking for a cheap coffee maker because I was low on cash and I found this one for fifteen dollars. I brought it home a bit skeptical but it has worked well for over a year now.

It makes twelve cups of coffee for me and my husband every morning. The aroma fills the house and makes it very pleasant to wake up in the morning.

It doesn't have any fancy timers that we could set but it does brew quickly so when I wake up I start the coffee and by the time I am showered I can pour a cup of coffee to drink as I get ready for the day.

My husband likes that it has a spill reserve so it doesn't make a mess as he is pouring a cup before it is done brewing. The pot is also shaped so spills are less likely.

I hated our old one when the hot coffee would come running down the sides of the pot and possibly burn us. This one is more practical and safe.

The best part is that it has a reusable filter. I never have to buy filters for it. I rinse out the filter after the pot is brewed and it is ready to go again the time I need to brew. The filter is a plastic and wire mesh basket that easy can be placed in or taken out with out making a mess or straining. It is so convenient and saves us money in the long run.

I have not run into any troubles with the pot at all. The only thing I would be able to suggest is that it might be nice for others to have the set timers so they could have coffee ready when they wake up. For me this works just great.

I have enjoyed it and have really been impressed that it has maintained so well over the past year. I did not expect a fifteen dollar coffee maker to last this long and still be functioning this well but it is proving itself very worthy. You can't beat the price!

I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone wheither they are on a budget or not. Why not save money if you are still geting perfect quality? I love my Proctor Silex coffee maker! I hope you do too!
