Mr Coffee with a reusable basket

by Kathleen
(California, United States)

The coffee maker that I use is Mr Coffee. I bought this coffee maker about 2 or 3 years ago because I only drink about one cup a day and wanted to cut down on used up counter space.

I figured that a small coffee pot that only brewed 4 cups at a time would be perfect for me. For the most part, I am really happy with my purchase.

It has a lot of positive points. For instance, the price was very reasonable. It also has a nice, clean design to it. An added bonus is that it is very simple to take apart for cleaning purposes.

My absolutely number one favorite thing about this coffee maker is that it comes with a reusable basket to put your coffee grounds in.

I love the fact that I don't have to waste my money buying paper filters and even more than that I love knowing that I'm not adding to the landfills with them.

The only downside to this coffee maker is that is has a small leak out of the top when it's brewing coffee. It wasn't there until fairly recently, so I've definitely gotten my moneys worth out of it.

It could be that I simply need to run a vinegar solution through the unit to clean it, which the manufacturer recommends anyway and which I've failed to do for quite some time now.

Aside from the small amount of water it loses it's still a great buy and works wonderfully. If I ever need to purchase another coffee maker, I'm fairly certain that I'll buy this one again.
