Mr Coffee DW-13 Coffee Maker

by Anders

Review of Mr Coffee DW-13 Coffee Maker. I have a Mr. Coffee coffee maker that I use everyday. It is a black DW-13 model that I bought online from a national retailer.

The coffee maker is well designed, easy to use and seems to be very reliable so far. I have had no problems with this coffee maker and am very pleased with my purchase.

The Mr. Coffee model DW-13 coffee maker has a few features that I really like. It has a nice, big, 12 cup capacity that lasts me a long time between brews. The filters that it uses are the standard kind and I can get replacements very cheaply at any store that carries household goods.

I have hooked it up to a watt meter and found that its electricity usage is very low. In fact it is much lower than my old General Electric coffee maker that it replaced.

This particular model is available in black or white coloring. I chose the black one as it fits into my kitchen décor much better that way. I also think that the black color is better for coffee makers in general because coffee stains do not show up on it as easily and it seems to stay looking good longer than white coffee makers which can quickly become grungy looking.

I have had this model of coffee maker for about two years now and I am very happy with it. The price was very affordable and seems to have gone down even lower since I bought it. The best part about this coffee maker is the reliability. I have not had one single problem with this coffee maker and would recommend the Mr. Coffee DW-13 to anyone looking for an easy to use and reliable coffee maker.

Not buying Mr Coffee Products anymore
by: Buck

I have used Mr Coffee coffe makers for years, and have been pleased for the most part. This model is the worst coffee maker I have ever owned, and I've owned many.

The first one I bought lasted about 3 months before the heating element quit working. So I bought another thinking that there's a lemon in every batch. This one worked for less than a week before the seals on the stem gave out, letting the hot water bleed back into the resvoir. I took apart the old one (relative term) and swapped out the seals and got maybe 3 more weeks use out of it before I had the same result. Proctor Silex from now on. Mr Coffee has gone to hell in a handbasket.

dw13 power switch
by: stanbw

Have had one of these DW13 Mr Coffee pots for about 3 years. Like it but the power switch became unreliable/intermittent about 6 months ago. Now it does not work at all. Have had no luck finding a replacement part.
