Mr. Coffee coffeemaker - ISX43CP,

by Marina
(CA - USA)

I currently own a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, model number ISX43CP, that I received last Christmas from my father. The coffeemaker was an impulse gift we decided on during a trip to Costco, bought to replace the flimsy Walgreens machine I bought when I first moved out of my Freshman dorm. We decided on this particular one because it had a staggeringly large carafe, and was the second cheapest model on the shelf.

The machine is simple and sturdy, and the reusable filter that came with it works like a charm. The carafe is labeled to make up to 12 cups of coffee, with 4 cups filling up my mug nicely. Even after five months of repeated daily use, absolutely nothing has gone awry and the machine looks as new as ever after a quick wipe-down. I don't expect coffee machines to do more than brew coffee with the push of a button, and this machine fulfills that expectation perfectly.

The only additional work is in choosing normal brew or strong (which I don't mind at all). There was even a pack of water filters for a cleaner brew - I don't use them, but it was a nice touch.

Same issue, clicks off due to voltage regulator

I am going to go buy a old fashion silver coffee pot that sits on top of my stove. One that actually works, does not spill over and lasts more than 6 months. Spending $30 for a pot that works only 6 months is not a deal. All the bells and whisles are worthless if it cannot do even the basics, get you a cup of coffee!!!!

Looks Great - didn't last more than few months
by: Anonymous

I purchased this coffee pot from Costco, but it only lasted a few months before it stopped working. Now that I see the post regarding the heating element, I see no reason to try to get it fixed.
Bummer.
