Mr. Coffee coffeemaker - ISX43CP,

by Marina
(CA - USA)

I currently own a Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, model number ISX43CP, that I received last Christmas from my father. The coffeemaker was an impulse gift we decided on during a trip to Costco, bought to replace the flimsy Walgreens machine I bought when I first moved out of my Freshman dorm. We decided on this particular one because it had a staggeringly large carafe, and was the second cheapest model on the shelf.

The machine is simple and sturdy, and the reusable filter that came with it works like a charm. The carafe is labeled to make up to 12 cups of coffee, with 4 cups filling up my mug nicely. Even after five months of repeated daily use, absolutely nothing has gone awry and the machine looks as new as ever after a quick wipe-down. I don't expect coffee machines to do more than brew coffee with the push of a button, and this machine fulfills that expectation perfectly.

The only additional work is in choosing normal brew or strong (which I don't mind at all). There was even a pack of water filters for a cleaner brew - I don't use them, but it was a nice touch.

Judy take it back
by: Anonymous

Judy, return it to your costco. They don't require you to have a box and they can look up your purchase with your card. I just returned my Keurig after using it for 1 month. They are awesome about returns if you aren't satisfied. Hope that helps. Thank you all for your reviews, you saved me from buying yet another coffee maker that is a disappointment.

A Really bad Mr Coffee
by: Judy Dingus

I purchased a Mr Coffee from Costco and its the worst coffee maker ever.It wasn't a super cheap coffee pot. I paid $29.99. Each time you open the top to put in coffee the water moisture inside leaks all over the counter and all down the sides of the coffee maker. When removing the pot the coffee drips onto the warming tray so much you have to keep a towel ready to dry if off. I can see that the element will soon go out from all the coffee pouring on it all the time. I tossed the box so I can't take it back. I looked on the Mr Coffee website and this pot isn't on it. They obviously know its bad and have taken it off the market. They must have sold all their inventory to Costco really cheap so Costco could rip off all us comsumers with their inferior product.

WORST COFFEE MAKER EVER!
by: Anonymous

WORST COFFEE MACHINE EVER !!!!. Even with proper use, the coffee does not always drip into the carafe. It overflows onto the burner, counter and floor. When pouring from the carafe, it leaks every time. I called Mr. Coffee (Sunbeam) and they were no help. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COFFEE MAKER I HAVE EVER BOUGHT.

Same issue, clicks off due to voltage regulator
by: John San Diego

I am going to go buy a old fashion silver coffee pot that sits on top of my stove. One that actually works, does not spill over and lasts more than 6 months. Spending $30 for a pot that works only 6 months is not a deal. All the bells and whisles are worthless if it cannot do even the basics, get you a cup of coffee!!!!

Looks Great - didn't last more than few months
by: Anonymous

I purchased this coffee pot from Costco, but it only lasted a few months before it stopped working. Now that I see the post regarding the heating element, I see no reason to try to get it fixed.
Bummer.

This coffee pot doesn't last, heating element gone in a few months. Cost more to repair than getting a new one. It stink.s
