Mr. Coffee COF ISX43 Programmable Coffeemaker
We own a Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker COF ISX43.
We purchased the coffee maker because of it's programmable capabilities, and because of its brand name.
We have encountered a single problem, which makes the programmable clock virtually unusable. The steam from the coffee maker builds up in the digital display area. The clock hands disappear and over time, they have never returned. The clock window still glows green, but since we are unable to see the hands displaying we cannot set the clock or the alarm.
We have owned this model for about two years. I would not buy another coffee maker with this type of click digital display.
We have owned other Mr. Coffee brands, but this was the first programmable coffee maker we had purchased. Our other models wore out due to lime build up. We do run vinegar through the coffee makers about every other month to keep the coffee maker running smoothly.
I do like two features about the coffee maker. The first feature this coffee maker has that I like is that some of the internal parts can be easily removed and cleaned, such as a basket, coffee filters (those are replaced), and a metal dripping plate. All of these can be easily removed and washed. The other feature that I like is that the coffee brews quickly.
Only when the coffee maker starts to build up the lime deposits does it slow down. It is quickly resolved by running a full pot of vinegar through it, followed by two to three pots of clean water.
