Mr. Coffee 4-cup Coffee Maker NLX5

I own the Mr Coffee 4-cup coffee maker NLX5
I selected and purchased this coffee maker for a couple of reasons: first, because of the Mr Coffee name brand, and secondly because it is small for single uses.
I have been using this coffee maker daily for years now. I’m just one person living alone and this is the perfect size for a few cups of coffee without using up much valuable counter space. I have owned a larger coffee maker and have always hated having the pull the thing out from its resting place under the counter just to be able to add the water into the reservoir. With the Mr. Coffee smaller unit, it never needs to move.
Also, I feel like I am conserving energy by using a smaller unit with a smaller burner. It comes with standard features that include a clock and programmable timer for brewing which are easy to set.
There are some things wrong with it, however. First, it's impossible to buy the proper sized filters! They’re available online but the shipping is almost eight dollars! I have resorted to buying slightly larger filters and must trim them down by hand with scissors each night! This is quite annoying.
Next, the button to change the time is only a single button located directly in the front of the unit. I can't tell you how many times I have accidentally pressed this button which then changes the time ahead an hour. When this happens, I wake up to no coffee brewed because the brew timer thinks it still has another hour to go.
Recently, I found out that Mr. Coffee is part of the Sunbeam product line. I have owned a Sunbeam iron and a Sunbeam mixer which were pure junk.
