Krups FME4 Coffee Maker

I own a Krups FME4 coffee maker made in Mexico. We have owned this particular unit for nearly 4 years now and have not had any significant problems with it.

This unit allows you to program the time you want it to turn on which allows you to wake up to that nice coffee aroma and enjoy a cup of coffee right away. The unit is flexible in the number of cups you can make. It includes a button to make 1-3 cups. There is a clock on the unit as well; it's small but included. The top opens easily to add the water and ground beans. We like to buy whole coffee beans and grind them to make our coffee as fresh as possible.

We have a Braun grinder that is a nice complement to the Krups coffeemaker. The unit we own in our principal residence is a combination stainless steel and black. We selected this color combination to match the other appliances in the kitchen. Another plus with this unit is the ease in cleaning it. The interior is easily accessible with a nice and simple design. Too many coffeemakers we've seen require an engineering degree to open and clean. This Krups model is very straightforward, so cleaning it is an easy task.

We also own the same brand in our second home and have been equally pleased with that model. Based on our experience with two Krups over several years, we would recommend this brand and model for any serious coffee drinkers. They are easy to find in Bed, Bath and Beyond-type stores, Target or via several on-line retailers.
