Keurig coffee maker coming apart -plastic in coffee

I just brewed a cup of coffee in my Keurig single cup brewer that had chips of plastic in it. When I opened the lid, a plastic ring had dropped from the area around the perforator. It is a jagged break and the ring is cracked. I've only had the coffee-maker for 5 months!

I would definitly contact Keurig by phone. I bet they would be willing to help. I also have mini brewer and it has been perfect since day one. I have had trouble with my bigger Keruig makers but never the mini..
