How to Fix the Keurig Coffee Makers low water flow brewing problem

by Milton

Clean the INLET NEEDLE of your Keurig Coffee Makers. I cleaned it with my wife's cake tester, a six inch metal probe used to test if your cake is done. A small paper clip or embroidery needle will work.

After cleaning it I did a rinse cycle and a bunch of old coffee gounds came out. Runs like new.
NOTE: This is not in the manual or troubleshooting guide.

Keurig Low Flow Problem Update NEW
by: Just a Dad

After a few months I experienced a new problem. My coffee maker would not pump enough water to fill my mug even after I cleaned the upper and lower needles as described below (see previous comments). I discovered that I had to turn it off and unplug it for 15 minutes. It seems leaving it on all night does something to the pump perhaps because the pump seals swell from sitting in hot water too long. I now turn it off and unplug it every night. Works fine again. Every morning I plug it in, turn it on, clean the upper and lower needles and rinse.

Helped, not fixed
by: Anonymous

Helped, but mine is still brewing 8 oz. instead of the claimed 10 oz. for the Large option.

yay!

Thanks! This is the only problem mine has had so far, and I couldn't find a fix for it until I found yours.

Make sure to unplug the Keurig first, though; I don't think it would shock you, but remember that you're sticking a metal object into a machine.

Perfect Fix
by: John M

This WORKED PERFECTLY. My Keruig works like brand new. I used a paper clip to clear out the coffee grinds trapped in the nozzle. THANK YOU for posting this ... it will likely work on all models of this type of brewer.
