Hamilton Beach BrewStation 47454 12-Cup Coffeemaker

I currently have a Hamilton Beach Brewstation 47574. I like it because it is fast and easy to get the grounds dumped out without making a mess. The coffee comes out hot directly into my travel cup so I don't have a carafe to wash/break.

It doesn't take up much room on my counter. Other than rinsing out the filter, there is no cleaning needed.

You can adjust the amount of coffee according to how much water you add - up to 12 ounces, which is considred 1 and 1/2 cups. I haven't encountered any problems with it.

It cost about as much as a regular size coffee maker and I don't know how long it will last - I've only had it about 3 months. I've owned several coffee makers before. My first was a Mr. Coffee machine, with a quart carafe that lasted 20 years without any problems.

Then I tried the Gevalia coffee maker that came free with a coffee order. It was huge - wouldn't fit under my cabinets so it stuck out on the counter. It made hot coffee which stayed fresh a long time but I promptly broke the carafe and couldn't find anything generic to use as a carafe. Since I didn't really like the size anyway, I discarded the rest of the machine.

Since then I've tried a couple other Mr. Coffee machines that I bought at yard sales, but one didn't make nor keep the coffee hot enough and the other started leaking. Both were hard to clean so the coffee didn't have a fresh taste.

My current brand, is better than the coffee makers I've tried, because the coffee tastes fresh and comes out hot. I can use any size/shape of cup with it so I don't worry about replacing a specific size/shape carafe. I can leave it on the counter without it being in the way because of its shape and size. It makes coffee quickly, so if I have a guest they dont have to wait to be served a second cup.

I am very happy with my purchase of my Hamilton Beach Brewstation.
