I live in Kentucky, like most of the USA, the day doesn’t begin until after I’ve had my first cup of coffee. For Christmas 2007 my wife got me a Hamilton Beach Brew Station Deluxe model #47454.

The Brew Station is an upgrade from my previous Gevalia coffee maker in several ways. This first one is that it’s programmable. My job starts early and the smell of fresh coffee sure helps rolling out of bed. It has no pot to remove (or drop on the floor and break), it pours directly into your cup from the warming tank. It can brew up to 12 cups of coffee at a time but has special settings for 1 to 4 cups. You can also set it for flavorful brewing or decaf if you so desire.

The only things that I wish were better is that it doesn’t brew as quick as my old coffee maker even on normal mode. It also leaves a little bit of coffee in the warming tank when it is out. The brew station is easy to take apart and clean and with the other advantages I’ve noted I feel that it is a great bargain and a first class coffee maker that I’ll use for years to come.
