Gevalia coffee machine

I have recently purchased a new coffee maker since my old bit the dust, probably from overuse! The one I purchased is a Gevalia coffee machine.

It is small and white but so far has been dependable. I bought it because it was small but made the full 12 cups of coffee thus saving me counterspace that I desperately need!

So far the only problem I have encountered has been with paper filters. If the filter falls down inside a little bit the water gets backed up and fills the area where the filter is causing it to overflow. I would recommend going with the mesh screened filters that all you have to do is rinse and wash out periodically since these do not cause backup nor overflowing.

Previous to this machine I had a simple larger coffee machine that was a Walmart brand. It also made the standard 12 cups of coffee but took up more counterspace then I had to give. This one was a good machine until one day I made coffee in the morning and upon picking up the pot the bottom fell off! I do not know if this was due to the making of the machine or the low cost of the machine.

So far the Gevalia machine has been far more reliable and useful with little to no problems. The other machine would overflow almost on a daily basis no matter what kind of filter was used it would also take longer for the coffee to brew. The current machine takes only moments for the coffee to brew.

I would recommend the Gevalia coffee machine to anyone in the market for a new coffee machine.
