Gevalia 12 cup coffee maker

I currently use a Gevalia 12 cup coffee maker, I've been using it for a couple months now.
I actually received this coffee maker for free as a promotional item, normally it retails for $150.00. I'm not sure why it would sell for that much, it's just an upgraded Mr. Coffee, with a few bells and whistles.
I definitely do not use all 12 cups, between my roommate and I, we usually make 6 or so daily. It would me more ideal for an office or business where customers come in and ask for coffee.
I like it because it's pretty nice looking, it's metallic and black. I really like the feature that seems to go out on well-used coffee pots: if you remove the decanter during brewing, the coffee flow stops and doesn't pour out all over the counter.
It's very easy to clean and move, because it's lightweight and it's easy to reach a scrub brush in every corner. I dislike this particular model because of the place where you pour the water in, as it is a very small opening in the top, and I often spill half the water if I'm not fully awake in the morning.
I also dislike how bulky it is, it takes up a lot of counter space, and doesn't fit under my low cabinets. Finally, as with most coffee makers, it is pretty loud and wakes whoever happens to be lucky enough to sleep later in the house.
I would say this one is better than my old Mr. Coffee, because it holds more (and since I no longer live alone that's definitely a plus to avoid morning arguments), and it's newer, so nothing has worn to the point of breaking yet.
