Cuisinart “Two To Go” or the TTG-500 Coffee maker

I have had the pleasure of owning a Cuisinart “Two To Go” or the TTG-500 Coffee maker for over two years now.
My favorite feature about this appliance is the brew through the lid system, which makes brewing a cup of coffee in a flash super easy. It comes ready to go with two, fourteen-ounce stainless steel travel mugs with rubber grips that will fit in most automobile cup holders.
I made the decision to go with this model shortly after moving into a new apartment with my girlfriend. At the time we both had jobs were we needed to be up and out the door in a hurry and we were looking for some new appliances to help spice up our kitchen, but not take up too much space. We were visiting a neighbor who happened to own the “Two To Go”, and we saw that it fit profile for what we were looking for. It is capable of making two, fourteen ounce cups of coffee at once, which is perfect for me and the misses, but I can see how for some this could be the down side of the product.
The only problem I have encountered is with the cups. They are listed as dishwasher safe, however after two years of running them through the dishwasher, they have broken down, and fallen apart. Replacement cups are for sale for around fifteen bucks each so I have resolved to using mugs, which also work fine.
I don’t remember the model or brand of my previous coffee maker but I know it was the traditional “pot of coffee” sort, and I always seemed to be wasting coffee with it. With the “Two To Go”, I never have that problem anymore because I am only making a cup or two at a time.
