Cuisinart DCC1200 coffee maker

Bought a Cuisinart DCC1200 coffee maker 11months ago. Was working fine then one morning it went literally up in smoke! Came down to kitchen and it was smoking and the kitchen smelled of burnt coffee and plastic as a result of an electrical malfunction.
