Brand: Cuisinart Model: DCC 2200
Like: Upscale brand (for me)
Model: was on sale at Macy's and I had a coupon Makes delicious coffee - that's the most important thing! Has a chime to let me know when coffee is ready, which is handy if I am in another room.
I like the "pause and pour" feature, though most coffeemakers have that these days. Cups: 14 Problems: It is difficult to fill the reservoir without spilling water into the basket.
You can't see the gauge on the side while you are pouring, so I have to stop and peer around the side of the machine lest I overfill. I've done that from time to time and had to remove the glass carafe so I could tip the excess water into the sink.
I'm not sure why it was designed this way; if the gauge had been located on the front I could see the water level better. How long owned: 9 months Other models: Have owned many previous coffeemakers. The one I had before this was a Mr. Coffee.
I liked it all right but I like this one SO much better. There is an extra filter which I think helps the flavor, and the warming plate seems to keep the coffee at just the right temperature for a longer period of time.
The Mr. Coffee model had a plate that was too hot and after 20 minutes or so the coffee got bitter. That was the case with other brands I have owned such as Black & Decker as well.
