Cuisinart DC2000 Horrible wont last!

I had the Cuisinart DC2000 coffee machine for 2 years and the thing just quit working 1 day. If you are thinking about buying don't. Really expensive piece of junk. Leaks everywhere and eventually wont turn on. Just buy one for 40 bucks.

The one i have now is great it is a Hamilton beach.Kind of looks like an alien but works really good. Very happy with it and it was cheap.Think about it you can buy 3 for what the cost of 1 cuisinart is. I promise that the coffee taste exactly the same. I called and emailed cuisnart 3 times trying to resolve issue and they refused to replace even after i talked to manager.

Junk..worthless crap

Junk. Moisture gets into the electronics. Don't waste your money. Customer service is terrible. If you do have a memory lapse and buy one KEEP THE RECEIPT because it will die within a year. Then you get to pay 10 bucks and shipping for the privilege to get another one-which is just as much a piece of junk.....repeat this cycle until your 3 year warranty is up.....or buy a Hamilton Beach for 40 bucks and be done with it....

We had this coffee maker, spent a lot on it, and it just quit working. No power, nothing. You would think that a "higher" end coffee maker would last more than a few months!

The WORST

We got a dc2000 and had troubbe from the get go. Took it back after a year of putting up with unpluging and pluging it in to make it come on. The new one stoped working within 2 days. Now back to the store but it will NOT be a cuisinart!

Couldn't agree more..

Have experienced similar problems with this coffee maker: unit will not turn on, unit will not turn off! In the last two years, I have received 3 replacements, none of which has lasted for more than 7 months, although they were bi-weekly cleaned with coffee maker cleaner. This is the lowest quality coffee maker I have ever owned, considering it's price tag, the name "Cuisinart" becomes a whole different meaning, the art to sell kitchen junk for top dollars - they got me.

DCC-2000 Trouble

I love the design of this unit and the coffee is very good but it is obvious that the construction quality is "cheap"! I am currently in the process of receiving a replacement for our fourth DCC-2000 and if it, the fifth unit, fails that will be it for Cuisinart products in this house. Every unit has leaked water some much more than others, and all have just stopped working for no visible reason. In locating the serial number, which is on the bottom, I noted these words "Made In China"... could this have something to do with the low quality? Bad units must not be repairable because this time they asked that I cut the power cord from the unit and send it with a $10 check to the Cuisinart Service Center then dispose of the unit.

My crusinart lasted about 2 years. I bought it from Overstock.com as a refurb. and thought the company may have updated and fixed the problem altogether...I will not own another....
