Cuisinart Customer service - WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY

Well i have had two of these coffee makers and both have done the same thing when the coffee starts to brew the basket will open and coffee will flow all over my counters called Cuisinart.

They said box it up and ship back as long you pay the freight charges i say no, will go back to my Bunn coffee maker.WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY.
