Cuisinart Coffee on Demand DCC-2000

I am the owner of a Cuisinart Coffee on Demand DCC-2000. This coffee maker looks very sleek and high end. It is brushed stainless steel and black.

There is no traditional pot, the coffee is held in a double-walled reservoir and holds up to 12 cups of coffee. It really keeps the coffee warm the coffee gauge is a great feature. The little gauge shows you how much coffee is left.

The one handed dispensing is very convenient. I think this is an excellent coffee maker that brews great tasting coffee.

My only problem with this coffee maker is keeping it clean. It seems very hard to clean this unit by handwashing alone. There always seems to be leftover coffee residue. This problem can be avoided however by washing the reservoir and basket in the dishwasher – they are both dishwasher safe. I have been using the Cuisinart DCC-2000 for about 6 months and am very satisfied with my purchase.

My previous unit was a similar reservoir style unit made by Hamilton Beach. The Hamilton Beach unit was significantly lower in price but the Cuisinart in my opinion is far superior in features and ease of use. Again, keeping this unit clean is a chore.
