Black and Decker Brew N Go Coffee Maker

I purchased this coffee maker as a gift about a year ago. I have been using it every day to make my morning cup of coffee and, overall, am very happy with it.

It is a single cup drip type coffee maker. I was interested in getting a coffee maker that brewed a single cup, since I am the only one in the family that drinks coffee, and making coffee in a larger machine is inefficient.

I also was not interested in the type of single serving makers that require special onetime use cartridges, because of the cost and the waste.

The Brew N Go takes ordinary ground coffee in a little stainless steel filter basket, meaning no disposable filters are required.

It dispenses the coffee directly into an included brushed stainless steel travel mug, so you don't have to clean a carafe.

The only gripe I have with the coffee maker is the coffee grounds tend to splash out of the filter basket when the hot water is dripped onto them.

Perhaps if the filter basket had been designed a little deeper, or the water dispensed a little more slowly this wouldn't happen.

It's a minor design flaw in my opinion, since you tend to get a few grounds in the bottom of your coffee cup, and on parts of the coffee maker other than the filter basket, meaning the coffee maker requires more frequent cleaning .

Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to those looking to brew a quick single cup first thing in the morning and hit the road.
