Black and Decker 5 cup model "drips like a sieve"

I own a 5 cup Black and Decker coffee maker and I'm the only one who drinks coffee. The problem with this product is it drips like a sieve, I have to pour my coffee over the sink to prevent having to clean up the mess.

I notice the 12 cup has the perfect pour and have searched for the past 2 years for the perfect pour 5 cup and still no upgrades on this model.
