Black and Decker - 12 Cup Coffee Maker
by Robin
(VA, USA )
I own a Black and Decker 12 cup coffee maker. This model has been making 2 - 4 pots of coffee a day for approximately 6 months with no problems.
It was purchased at Walmart for under $20, and is a great value. It is capable of programing a time for your coffee to start, but I never use this feature. It also cuts off after 2 hours, which I love since I can sometimes can be a bit forgetful.
I only have two small complaints with it. The model I purchased is white and shows dust, spills, etc. I believe it is offered in black as well, and I wish I had purchased a black model.
The other complaint is inclusive of all coffee makers I have looked at in this price range. Water is added from the top, making it necessary to pull the unit from under the cabinet to fill the water resevoir.
This model was very similar to the last one I owned, which did fine, but gave out after much use.

Black and Decker 12 Cup Coffee Maker
by Shannon
(Ohio, USA )
I currently own a Black and Decker coffee maker. I believe the model number is 2003398. It is a standard 12 cup model with a basket. I have owned the coffee maker for over two years and use it every day. Overall, I am pleased with it, although the clock/timer on the front of the machine ceased to function after a few months due to a buildup of condensation.
The coffee maker is reliable and very durable. The white plastic exterior is easy to clean, and the glass carafe itself has proven to be surprisingly resiliant, despite some early morning clunks in the sink when I have filled it. I purchased a Black and Decker because I was very unhappy with the endless series of Mr. Coffee makers I have owned. Each Mr. Coffee product worked well for a few months, but then the brewing time grew longer and longer.
I also found that the coffee produced tasted increasingly bitter. A few Mr. Coffee pots actually cracked on the warmer plate after less than two hours of heating. My Black and Decker model lacks the "bell and whistles" of some of the more upscale coffee makers I have owned, but it continues to function without a lag in the brew time.

Black and Decker 's 12 Cup Coffee Maker
by Melissa
(United States)
I have a Black and Decker , but I'm not sure of the model number. It is an automatic coffee maker, with a timer. It makes 12 cups of coffee. I bought this coffee maker when my last one kept overflowing.
I am pretty happy with my coffee maker, but it has 2 main problems. One is that when it is on, the time display gets all fogged. The other problem is that sometimes the actual time display is wrong, and I never unplug it. I am not sure why the problem with the time display happens, but it isn't all that big a deal to me.
I guess I have one other slight complaint about it, and that is the pour spout on the carafe. Sometimes, when I'm pouring the coffee, it goes down the side of the carafe instead of in my cup! You have to hold the carafe at just the right angle over your cup.
I would like to find a coffee maker that the timer stays on for longer than two hours. I think 4 hours would be more like it.
Basically, I am pretty happy with my coffee maker, I just think it needs a couple of things tweaked to be great- because lets be real, coffee is the life blood of my day!
As long as I have a coffee maker that makes hot coffee and doesn't over flow, I'm happy!

Black and Decker 12 cup Programmable Coffee Maker
by Annette
(New York)
I have owned two Black and Decker 12 cup Programmable coffee makers. Both were the same models purchased about a year apart from the same store.
The first one lasted just under a year. The warming plate failed to heat up. And this second one also lasted about a year. Again the warming plate was the problem. This time the seal around the plate where it was attached to the base failed.
My husband and I did like this coffee maker because of the price, it's appearance, the ease of operation and programming, pause feature, and the auto shut-off.
We did not like that when we'd poured coffee from the carafe into a cup we found that we'd have to pour very slowly or coffee would run down the carafe and make a mess of the counter. I'd also have to hold a towel under the spout when filling the reservoir to catch any dripping water.
The next time we purchase a coffee maker, it may not be a Black and Decker because of the problem we encountered with the warming plate and because it only lasted about a year.

Black and Decker Home 12-cup Home coffee maker
by Jillian
(NH USA)
I have a Black and Decker Home 12-cup Home coffee maker and I love it. It is durable, quiet and holds plenty of coffee for the day. It also has automatic shutoff in case I leave it on.
I have not encountered any problems with it and have had it for almost a year. We even had a fire and it flooded with water but it still works great. I first bought this coffee maker because of the price and the safety features. I like the fact that it comes in both white and black and its small size allows it to fit underneath the kitchen cabinets. It is also lightweight and easy to carry or move. I have also found it very easy to clean. Its pitcher is lightweight also and doesn’t break easily.
The durability of the entire coffee maker makes my life much easier. It is also safe around children because only the pot and the small burner get hot. The rest of it stays cools to the touch.
Any coffee maker that can survive a fire and still work just as well as it before is worth the money. I can’t think of anything I would change about it and I would recommend it to anyone.
