8 cup programmable thermal coffee maker

I own a 8 cup programmable thermal coffee maker - I preheat carafe with 150-160degree F water.After brew T of coffee in carafe is low 170's F.-lower than the generally recognized ideal brewing T,and not hot enough for me.I am dissatisfied.Comments pse
