12-cup Black & Decker # DE755B coffee maker

I have been using a 12-cup Black & Decker model DE755B coffee maker that I was given as a gift. I used the coffee maker daily for about a year and a half and had no problems with it (other than the digital read out starting to break up; this didn't bother me as I didn't use that feature)until one morning it simply died. From what I've read of other coffee makes it is hardly unusual for one to give out so soon but it seems like my old coffee makers lasted much longer.
